Chic Bite Events Limited("we", "us") is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17295160), with its registered office at 77d Long Street, Middleton, Manchester, M24 6UN. We operate the website chicbite.co.uk and provide catering services across Greater Manchester.

2. What data we collect

When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, and the order details (products, delivery date and time slot, any notes you provide).

When you use the contact form: your name, email address, phone (optional), event details and your message.

Payment data: card payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Analytics: with your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you.

3. Why we process your data

• Fulfilling your order and delivery — performance of a contract
• Responding to enquiries — legitimate interest
• Sending order confirmation emails — performance of a contract
• Keeping order records — legal obligation (UK tax and accounting law)
• Website analytics — consent

We do not sell your data. We do not send marketing emails unless you have explicitly opted in.

4. Who we share data with

We use trusted service providers to run our business:

• Stripe — card payments (stripe.com/gb/privacy)
• Supabase — order database (hosted in London, UK/EU region) (supabase.com/privacy)
• Resend — transactional emails (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy)
• Vercel — website hosting (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
• Google Analytics — analytics, only with your consent (policies.google.com/privacy)

5. How long we keep your data

• Order records: 6 years from the end of the financial year of the order, as required by UK accounting and tax rules.
• Contact form enquiries: up to 12 months after the enquiry is resolved, then deleted.
• Analytics data: up to 14 months (Google Analytics setting).

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• access a copy of your data
• correct inaccurate data
• request deletion (where we have no legal duty to keep it)
• object to or restrict processing
• withdraw consent at any time (e.g. analytics cookies)
• complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk)
